KICKER® KM6500.2 HLCD Tower Component System

anyone got any experience with these? I've got 4 cans on my tower right now with some mediocre speakers that you can't hear very well at all at 80 ft, looking to upgrade without buying new enclosures and I like the way these look.

    Thanks,
    Daryl

I have the full 6 pack and a JL 750/1 to power them. They are not installed yet so I can't give any advice on the sound but they do appear to made very well. I researched them for hours and never found any negative reviews. If you shop around you can find them for very cheap (even some factory remanufactured one for 200-300 bucks). If you already have cans I think these are the cheapest option as far as HLCD speakers go. Seems like if youre sticking to just the 4 the most common setup is a 500 watt amp. Might try looking into powering them with an Alpine PDX-4M. That's what my original plan was going to be before I decided to add the 2 more mids. Good Luck.

The Kicker KM6500.2 component set is a great option for those that already have tower pods that they want to retain. Due to the separate 6.5 mid and horn, as opposed to a pro-axial style HLCD where the horn is through the mid-range woofer, the KM6500.2 offers more mid-bass and warmer sound near-field, then other 6.5" HLCD's. My favorite setup is to power them bridged the Kicker IX500.4. This will deliver 250W to each side.
