2003 206 Clarion Replacement - (sorry Noob questions)

Ok....let me first say the only reason I am asking questions is the original stock unit comes up with an error playing CD's and does not have the IPOD facility coupled with that 2 out of the six factory speakers appear to be blown / not working

Not looking to be the loudest or for the wakeboarders to hear, just something that works.....which from reading the many posts quite different to most installs

was looking at going with the later model clarion CMD-6 with the MW-1 remote, replacing the original panel with

replacing the 6 factory speakers with new polk or similar wetsounds? - I understand from other posts about front & rear mounting of the speakers now (i think lol)

Then adding some tower speakers - with something like these

I know I will need to add an amp for the tower speakers...

Not going for a sub woofer

So do I add an amp for ALL inboard speakers?

will any other remotes fit in the larger round remote bezel like fusion?
The aim is to have the install looking original

A complete package I thought would be the easiest way, considering it would most likely have to be all mailed to Aust

any advice would be appreciated

ok guys......digging deeper it appears that there is an issue with the wiring of the factory speakers...
all the chanels from the head unit appear to be working. does anyone have the wiring diagram from the 12 pin plug to the speakers?

there appears to be 2 yellow loop wires I am just trying to work out what wires do what boat side of the head unit plug??
