Help with stereo for new 230 TE

I have a question I hope can be answered from here. I got the stock TE stereo with 2 HCLD on top of tower and two other tower speakers below with the stock clarion H/U and amps and sub. My question is will I need additional amp or is the system from the factory ok? I believe I will probably need another amp but I am no stereo guru and don't want to take to a stereo shop and be talked into things I don't need. Are the HClD decent on the water for the rider to hear? Any help appreciated.

You have a sizable investment in the factory tower HLCDs. I would begin this from a different perspective. Take the boat out a couple of times to form your own opinion about the strengths and weaknesses of the existing system. Upgrade specifically what you find disappointing. There will be plenty of concise advice at that time with that input.

Not to hijack your thread, but I see others with additional batteries. At what point do you need to do this? When should the wiring to amps be upgraded? Can a great sound system be put together with factory wiring?

I'd say never enough batteries if floating and jamming. Additional amps require additional power. Saw a full upgrade w 4 amps on the stock 2 battery setup. Might b ok for short time, then quality will start to decrease.
