I currently have a pair of NVS tower speakers off my old boat. I was looking to put rev-401s (pending they fit on the tower) on my new boat because I planned to sell the NVS with my old boat. The agreement I worked out with the buyer did not included them. This is not a which one is better and I know NVS is no longer in business. I am wondering if its worth spending the 3k on new speakers when I already have nvs which are awesome. I do like the look of the wet sounds, the head room appears to be more, but I wonder if the music will sound THAT much better. Any advice from someone who has heard both please share. Like I said I am not trying to get in to which is better, just if its worth the money to get the rev 410s. Thanks

I have heard both. I have auditioned several of the largest NVS extensively. But the NVS character really depends on which version as they went through some significant changes particularly in the passive crossover network. The final top twin 10" + horn NVS version was very smooth/warm and was great for near field listening. But in an effort to make a linear speaker it lacked enough treble aggression for wake range. The midbass was great. And this speaker required 500 watts each for starters so not terribly efficient. I really enjoyed listening to the last edition of the top model of the NVS speakers.
Sonically, the Wetsounds Rev410 will not disappoint anyone who previously owned NVS. IMO, the WS Rev410 is the best. The build quality is far superior on the Wetsounds.

Great thanks, mine are older model NVS. I spoke with wetsounds earlier and after talking to them I am going to go with the rev410s with a sd4 amp. Im hoping once I hear them I will say, " money well spent"!! Do you happen to know if the rev 410s will fit on the g23 tower with the factory bimini ?

I am sure the Rev 410's will sound great but I also think you are setting yourself up for a disappointment. I just doubt that you will say "money well spent", I would expect something more along the lines of "I think it sounds better" or "I like the rev10 better because of X and NVS better with respect to Y" I also doubt your NVS speakers will sell for close to what they are worth to you so think of how that factors into the mix as well.
