I am looking for some information on adding an amp board to the wall next to the passenger love seat on a 1999 Super Sport/Air. I'd like to do something similar to this (http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...000-big-stereo) but I don't have an existing amp board to tap into. I thought I had read at one point that you can remove a section of carpet from the wall and liquid nails something like HDPE to the wall and mount the amps to that?
The stereo was installed by the PO and the amps are currently mounted to the back side of the driver's kick panel and the sub is in a sealed box under the love seat taking up a ton of storage space not to mention being muffled. I'd like to move the amps to the passenger wall and then hopefully install a sub behind the kick panel. I am not sure my current sub/enclosure will fit behind the kick panel so I am fine with upgrading that portion of the system if needed. What is the best method for putting a sub behind the drivers kick panel? I see some that have the sub flush mounted to the kick panel and that is what I would like to accomplish. Are those infinite baffles or can you sandwich the kick panel between the sub and the box? I am far from an audiophile and overall I am happy with my current system other than the sub taking up a ton of good storage space and not adding much to the system when the passenger seat storage is closed. I know the sub would sound better if I vented that storage area but I would prefer not to do that. Any advice or input is much appreciated!
