Installed new WS-420 SQ low volume?????

I replaced my first gen WS-420 with a new WS-420 SQ to gain the true independent sub, but my volume is noticably lower than it was before. I remember that the first ws had some gain adjustments on the top of the unit, and the direction of the new ws indicate that the gains are internal. Do i need to open it up advance the gains? Will this void waranty? Wetsounds has always done right by me so i want to check before i do something. BTW very satified with the indipendend sub adjustment and the larger stiffer knobs. great product.

When I look at the manual, it appears you have to pull the cover to access the gains. On WW, Tim mentioned something about gains being on the chassis for those who like to tweak...which would indicate, to me, the cover has to be pulled. You can always double check with them wrt warranty, but given the manual references adjustable gains and shows the location of the pots, it would be odd that accessing them would void the warranty.

Do you have less hiss with the new 420?
