Anyone have stereo problems with NSS??

Anyone having stereo problems related to the Link and the NSS?

there is a recall kit CC is sending out regarding those RCAs in the driver's side dash being grounded into that metal plate. I've fixed that this is another issue.

Only when wake surfing with NSS... Every 4-6 times or so, when NSS retracts... It cuts the Clarion stereo into a protect mode. You have to turn it off and restart to get any music back.

anyone else experiencing this?

After 4 hours no problems yet with the stereo and NSS. Thanks for the info on the RCA plus. I have not checked them.

The washers for the g recall are on back order for 90 days FYI

Ya I've got the RcA issue fixed... I have them taped up, they aren't touching each other or the mounting plate. It did reduce some of the popping noises.

this issue is something entirely different.

issues1: Stereo goes into a protect mode, or something like that when the NSS retracts every few times. Only way to correct is to restart stereo. 5 times or so later it's back to protect mode. Only happens with NSS.

issue 2: NSS electrical noise comes thru the stereo when it deploys and retracts. I assume because there is not an isolated dedicated run of fused 1/0 ga direct from batteries over to the amps and stereo. I know folks say tapping off the Perko for stereo and amps can be done perfectly... Yes, but when you do it itsuch harder to fight off all these other noise issues.

UPDATE:

We figured this out this electronics noise I was describing, and the NSS radio shut down potect mode issue.... nothing wrong with NSS or anything like that....it was my HU AUX in RCA input.... the one that runs from the back of the HU down under the floor.... over to the driver side for the AUX ins there in the driver's glove box, and the 3.5mm aux in under the throttle.... that cable was grounded or pinched out somewhere along that run causing all the problems whenever NCRS or NSS was being used.

This was a grounding problem in addition to the recall for the RCAs grounded out into that plate in the driver's side glove box.

I disconnected that AUX IN and immediately all the problems went away. I plugged up a temp AUX IN with Bluetooth off the back of the HU using that AUX, directly in, bypassing that bad run of RCA. Good to go Now... something to get fixed at the end of season.

Shots out to Tim White at Scream Marine for texting back and forth helping me isolate and trouble shoot on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasnt even his problem to fix.
