for all the guys that just want to upgrade to a much better, higer quality more robust inifinte baffle sub, keeping the price reasonable... look at the Fi IB12...
550w RMS.... vs the OEM polk standard 10" in there on 200w RMS. you will have to widen that hole out an inch or so to fit it in....

I did not do the work myself, I had a local stereo shop do the work for me. I have a JL W6 installed in it and am very happy with the results, it pounds in the boat! Only problem is the rattle coming from the air dam door ....
Sub woofers do require specific dimensions but usually there is a percentage range they will work at. We calculated it out for the W6 and it worked out to be within the range.

I didn't see the inside before it was sealed but possibly you could seal further down to get more space. That is the stock box found in the boat however. I like keeping projects minimal and looking as close to stock as possible.
