Amp and Tower speakers, need some help

We have a 1995 Supersport with a factory flight control tower on it. We need some new tower speakers and a amp. I dont have a clue when it comes to speakers and amps, i dont have any expierence in this area.
Could someone point me in the right direction.

I would like to set it up so that sound comes in through the boat speakers and the tower speakers, but i dont know if this is possible.
We really dont have a budget, but want the best bang for the buck qaulity stuff. We had some liquid Audio speakers on the tower, but they fell apart. Want something a little better. Amp we have is a marine amp, but seems to have lost two channels.
Im not interested in spending thousands of dollars, but dont want to go to cheap neither

you said you had liquid audio speakers on the tower before, were they not working at the same time the in boat speakers previously? if you want to hear the music clearly while riding you need to look at hlcd speakers, compression horn style and you can spend anywhere from 3-400 t0 a couple grand just for speakers, and you will want a decent amp for those.

Need a little more info... how do you use your boat? surf, 22mph wake? how much between the different sports?

Generally Rev10s on 400watts each make 95% of folks happy They are good for folks out to 75ft wakeboarding, plenty loud for surfing and party cove. Rev10s cost $1200ish... and an amp that does 400w x 2 @ 4ohms ranges from $200 - $600 depending on what you are looking for and how premium you want to go. Only other thing I would offer for consideration is the Exile ZLD $200 or Wetsounds 420sq $350 EQs. both of them ramp up the pre-amp voltage off the HU which can give you better sound quality and better control of your system fading/blending between tower, your inboat speakers and sub.

So Rev10s and and amp only, you are at around $1500 for a quaility setup.

We wakeboard most of the time, but also just park and swim.
Just looking for something to get the sound out and good quality tower speakers. We don't have to have the best, but want something better than what we had

The work truck version F150 of what you are looking for:

Rev10s on a PPI 900.4 giving roughly 400w x 2. That amp is less than 200$ shipped. Power it with 2ga or larger power and ground wires.

We routinely drive the KM6500.2 setup with 200-250 watts rms to each "side" (horn and mid) from a 4 chnl amp. This is the type of power commonly used to drive other's 8" HLCD. Due to its component style design, the KM6500.2's continuous cone mid-bass, offers good mid-bass for near-field listening. When adding in the extra set of KM6500 mids, we run an identical 4 chnl amp. For increased wake range projection, the horn has a 6 db jumper.

The KM6500's can be purchased as just the raw drivers for those with 4 6.5" pods already, or you can purchase pods for them if you do not have pods or just want to freshen up the entire tower setup. Kicker offers single and double pods for the KM6500.2's and extra mids. For towers with a fairly straight bar, a pair fo the KMTE-D double pods is perfect. For those towers with a higher degree of arch, go with 2 pair of the KMTE-S single pods for a better look and fit. For those that like thru-clamp wiring, this can easily be done with the Kicker pods.

My best advise is to audition any and all possible choices.

The big hitters in tower speakers are, in no particular order. Exile and Wetsounds, at least in the area I am from. If you have no experience in the setup or the install, you could be taken to the bank. I believe both companies have good tech support and sell direct. I would call them and ask if they have any refrences for good shops in your area. Do your own research and decide what your needs are.

i'm still not quite sure what you want to get out of your system, but if you are in anyway trying to hear tunes while wakeboarding you will be spending a good bit of money on: amp(s), HLCD tower speakers, power/ground wire, labor for installation. many folks simply don't care if what they use is marine or not; i do. i don't have marine stuff in my truck because it costs more apples to apples and isn't needed; but boats are in the water and things can happen that involve very moist air and harsh conditions. exile is NOT marine which is why i don't like them.i bet they sound amazing, but... only wetsounds, polk audio, and jl audio are truly marine, at least when it comes to the speakers. if you can't support local on product purchase check out earmark marine and get the 10% discount for being a member of this site.
p.s. many audio installers charge $85-$100 an hour.
