'Complete' New Stereo System on 2000 PAN 210

Looking for suggestions on replacing pretty much everything on my 2000 Pan 210. I have four in-boat 6.5s run off the head unit (4 x 50w) and two 6 or 6.5 inch tower speakers run off an amp (2 x 240w). Looking to replace the Four 6.5s in boat, head unit (to include ipod use), tower speakers + amp and add a subwoofer + amp. I am having a second battery and perko switch installed as we speak.

Would like to keep the 240w amp to run the new tower speakers if possible for $ reasons.

    Performance goals
    1. Want good, clean stereo sound. Don't need to be the loudest on the lake, but do want it to be loud w/ a little thump.
    2. Want to hear while surfing, not necessarily while boarding. But would like everything to be clean sounding all around regardless.
    3. Do loves me some party cove, but don't need to dj for the place.

I have about $1500ish to spend on equipment and a buddy to help me with the install. Advice on any of this would be great, including where to buy, subwoofer size, power and placement, type/brand/power of tower speakers and whatever else you think is important.

    Thanks all!

Ebay old school rockford amps (only with x cards) look for 60 ix for sub get a 100 ix to run tower (get 4 or 6) and run cab off your current amp. If you can find a 4ch 400ix, that would be best.
