    Stereo not working

2000 Air Nautiuque. New system. My buddy turned on the stereo and I heard a quick hiss. I think it was up too loud. I pulled the head unit fuse out and it appears to be fine. Is there an on boat fuse for the stereo? The tower speakers, amp and mic are all working fine. It's just the stereo that won't turn on. Any thoughts?

    any other suggestions. Thanks.

Normally the EQ and amplifiers will not turn on until the source unit is 'On'. So how have you concluded that the EQ and amplifiers are functional while the source unit is not? Will they (EQ and amps) turn on independent of the source unit? Is there a Main/Aux input switch on the EQ that was changed?

Dave. My tower speakers came with a microphone that is attached to the amp. I'm still able to turn the mic on and hear myself talking through tower speakers. My head unit is not turning on at all. I pulled the fuse on the head unit, it appeared to be ok. I didn't know if there was an aux fuse somewhere on the boat that could've shorted. I checked under my steering column at those fuses and couldn't find anything.

        You need a $15 multimeter.
To function a source unit must have a good ground and TWO B+ supplies including the ign/acc and the memory. Verify the voltage is ample at the source unit molex plug.
Unplug every external device such as remote controls, RCAs, etc. and give the source unit another try.

Is it possible that head unit could've blown?

Sure, but you need to confirm that.
