    G23 Wetsounds Custom Install

Thought I'd show a pics of my new system in a G23. Spade Kreations in Cincinnati, OH did an incredible install and turned it around in less than two weeks. I'm convinced they are one of the best fabricators in the country after working with them on this. It's incredibly clear, loud, and hits hard - I found myself tightening hardware at the end of last weekend. The lock on the glove box completely fell off and the rear vents were all loose and it was only its second weekend on the water. Gonna need to keep Loctite around with this system. They originally made a ported box right out the vent but it wouldn't load right, so they remade it to fire to the back of the boat and it sounds great. They also did a custom plexi grill and EQ mount and added LEDS throughout.

    Brief rundown of the system:

2 SD6 (585X4 to Tower, 290X2 to back in boats, 185X2 to front in boats)
    1 SD2 (1250 to sub)
4 Rev 10s w/ swivel mounts and LED Rings
    XS-650 RGB (In Boats)
1 XS-XXX in ported box tuned to ~ 36 HZ (that long thing extending out from the sub is a long port)
    WS-420
2 8D Batteries (In rear lockers for extra ballast!)

Yep, you and Nauty220 are making me jealous. You will need hearing aids later in life, but that's just the meanness coming out of me. I would love to hear it!! It looks great.

Looks awesome. We've got essentially the same system so I know how good it sounds. You have to be psyched.

Was the company you used able to link everything into the link system or did they bypass it?

On mine they did not replace head unit so system is still integrated into the main boat controls (which aren't that great by the way in terms of controlling the stereo). All they did was change out speakers and amps.

Head unit stays and is functional. The original system uses amps too so its really no different, just a lot more power and better speakers. Most of the time I go directly into the 420 EQ with my iPhone because its just easier that way though....

that's probably my favorite 420 install, and one of the cleanest amp/sub installs i've seen this year. i'd love to see a wireless pa mic in the future. i just noticed the wires hanging down

Quick question- did you cut out the factory fiberglass box or build around it?
