Posted with Jeff's permission, if I posted this in the wrong place mods feel free to move it.

All of these prices have been slashed, some by more than 50%, but for all forum members Earmark is extending the forum discount coupon in addition to the sale prices! As always, Earmark offers forum members a discount on virtually everything on our online store and support after the sale, so if you don’t know the forum discount code just ask and we’ll get you taken care of. These sale prices are limited to stock on hand, first come first serve.

LED RINGS starting at $34.99 each before forum discount!

Forum discount code is PLANET in all caps. That will take an extra 10% off of virtually everything on the online store (except clearance items and a few select other items).

Awesome, thanks for setting this up and all of the great advice you bring to this site!

I might be ordering some underwater lights. If my typical lake is a somewhat shallow mud bottomed lake with water on the darker side do you recommend going with white lights vs color? I was thinking of going with blue but I noticed the lumens on those are a fraction of the white and even the green and reds are much higher. My boat is black and tan so I am open to any color but thinking of staying away from green or red to avoid any possible issues with using a navigation color.

Our north Texas lakes are fairly shallow and typically green/muddy. We have found that red really doesn't project well in murky water, and blue just doesn't project as well as other colors in any water. White projects the best, and being white it doesn't wash out with colored water like some colors do.

Just fixing my typo, I meant to say that RED just doesn't project as well as other colors in any water.

Blue projects well and is a close second behind white for projection.

Anyone have pictures of how bright the tower light set is? trying to figure out how big of a bar I really need...

We won't be riding in pitch dark -- but it's nice when we get done and are going back to the boathouse...

              Thanks,
              Ben

The Zire lights used in the Bullet light bars are compact but exceptionally bright. Each lamp pulls 5 amps, so the 55 watt rating is accurate.

Here’s a little background about tower lights.

It takes no less than three rear-facing lamps to really light up an area behind the boat at distance. After that, the more the better.

Forward-facing lights are a different story. If the boat is squatted while pulling, too much light will reflect off the bow and blind you. So forward facing lights with the glare are not safe at a high speed. However, if you are on plane, such as idling toward a slip or approaching a trailer, or negotiating through buoys, or keeping an eye on the shoreline, then these lights are effective. Again, as long as you don’t overdrive them with too much speed or raise the bow. Remember that conventional docking lights are completely at the front of the boat and under the deck cap. So in consideration of the glare, you really don’t need more than 2 forward-facing lights unless you just want more bling.

The Wet Sounds REV series speakers use a unique style of "stepped" ring, with the LED's mounted differently than the typcial LED ring; the LED ring mounts between the grill and the speaker, as opposed to the typical method of mounting the LED ring between the speaker and the pod or boat. Wet Sounds now makes their own LED ring kits (they are sold as a pair) and we carry the Wet Sounds LED rings. Earmark does still make LED rings for the older style PRO series Wet Sounds speakers (Wet Sounds didn't make rings for those).

We have the REV LED rings here, forum discount applies.
