so the current memphis marine 6.5's that are in my boat aren't cutting it. I feel like the sound is just plain not good, and that the output is limited. i want to replace them with either wet sounds sw-65's or JL mx 6.5" coaxials. because the towers are fairly bright(pro 80's gen 1), i'm thinking a warmer interior might do everyone some good; which has me leaning towards the JL's. Is this the proper approach? here is how they will be powered: Syn 6-
port side pair on ch. 1, starboard side pair on ch. 2, both in parallel @ 2ohms stereo. then move 1 pair of the memphis to the bow and put the single port side speaker on ch. 3 and the single starboard side speaker on ch. 4, both @ 4ohms stereo. ch.'s 5&6 are bridged for the xs-12. I want this to be the last time i mess with the interior speakers except maybe swapping out the bow speakers to whatever i go with for the cockpit down the road which is simple. they are typically obstructed by a big bow sac so...thanks for all the input.
