    need advice on new SAN 210

    I bought my SAN about a few weeks ago and I've finally been able to go through and take stock of what I have/need. I'm not sure what came standard on that model/year but here's what I have:

    * 6x Clarion 6" inboat speakers
    * Clarion M309 deck
    * Clarion APA4204 amp (50w RMS @4ohms)
    * 2x MB Quart tower speakers (I don't know model as I haven't pulled them from their enclosures)
    * 1x Kenwood KFC-W2505 sub (600w max)

    As far as I can tell, the deck drives the inboat speakers. The amp powers the tower speakers and sub. I'm not that familiar with stereo wiring, but the sub has all four wires (twisted) connected to the "outside" poles of the amp and are twisted together and connected to the sub.

    I'm not hearing any sound from the sub. Is this installed incorrectly? If I place a hand on the cone, I feel no vibration. Also, it's located under the dash (not in a sealed enclosure). I haven't taken the amp off (which is installed under passenger seat) to see if the high/low pass filters were selected.

    The tower speakers are just ok. But I just bought this boat and want to try and wait until this winter to upgrade the system. So with that being said, any advice on the existing setup or things I can do (within a few hundred bucks) to get more out of what I have? Another amp for the sub?

    What year is your 210? Just trying to follow your install. Have any pictures of your amp and sub install? Just a quick glance at your setup suggests that you don't have enough power going to your tower or your sub, but perhaps changing somethings in your setup could be a free fix to get you to the winter.
