    ws420 eq in 230

So now that I have my two rev8s running off my syn4 with only minor problems (I have a ground loop hum at low volume) I want to install my 420 EQ. I have a 2009 230 with mostly stock system except the tower. Here are the details

    CMD5
Polk 500.1 powering the sub behind the driver and 4 rear speakers. (Using rear RCAs off HU)
HU powering bow speakers (Somehow connected directly to the HU through front side on HU?)
SYN4 powering two Rev8s (Using front RCAs on HU).

So far I have been using the fade to control more volume to the tower. However as expected the bow speakers get blasted. Thus the need for the EQ.

However in tuning the EQ it says to take the volume on the HU to 80%. Won't that blast out the bow speakers if the 420eq is only sending volume to the two amps?

A Wetsounds EQ will make a number of wonderful system improvements. But it will not fix your bow speaker issue without adding additional external amplification in the form of two extra channels.
You need to fully resolve the 'hum' issue BEFORE adding another piece of audio equipment.

Traced the hum to the coiled RCA cable I had that happen to be too close to the AMP as well. Seems it doesn't have very good shield on it coiling it made it worse.

David - You confirmed what I was thinking I would have to do. Dedicated AMP to the sub behind the seat. Might have to be a winter project as the current board inside the observers seat doesn't have room for another amp. Now just to figure what to go with.

      Thanks for the response.

The right 5 or 6 chnl amp will drive the sub and 6 in-boats and take the place of current amp driving the sub and 4 main cabin in-boats.
