Rev 8 - faulty tower bracket?

Just wondering if anybody has had any issues with the brackets for the wet sounds rev 8. We went to a lake for some holidays, everything was great, we go to leave, and I put the socks on my rev 8's everything is good, nothing is loose , everything is tight. I get to our destination and look up and my starboard tower speaker is gone...bracket and all, there are only two wires hanging down where the speaker used to be. I've got a call in to the dealer that did the install, I'm hoping that they will cover this on warranty, as i believe the hardware or bracket failed. I only had about 15 hours on the boat since the install.
just wondering if anything like this has happened to anybody else.

Where these X mounts bolted to the CC adapters or the tube clamps? If nothing is left but the wires, then it sounds like the bolts broke, where not tight and worked loose or the ones used where too short to grab enough threads. If the CC adapter fractured, I would imagine there would still be a portion of it still bolted to the tower. Where you able to recover any of the pod, bolts and adapter plate? Are there broken bolts remaining in the tower? Having the pieces would make it much easier to determine the root cause.

When I installed mine, I believe that there were several length bolts (for different diameter towers). It is possible that your installer used too short of bolts. I'll check mine tonight, but I don't think mine have loosened up at all since installing late last year, and I have trailered the boat a number of times since then. That said, I might put some thread lock on now.

These are the clamps I have, I'm not sure if they are the X or the fixed position clamp. Nothing was recovered, I would imagine that when it dropped off it hit the cover and trampolined into the ditch. I had my brother-inlaw watch for it when they came through, but they didn't see anything. I double checked the other speaker when I made the discovery, and it's tight.

This might be what they did, it makes sense, like i mentioned above everything seemed tight when I was putting the socks on, as you do have to tug on them a bit to stretch the socks on. as soon as I get home, I'll be getting out the 'ol blue threadlock as well. Could be an expensive ticket if they don't cover it.

Update: I spoke with the Wetsounds rep for Canada, and they are going to warranty my tower speaker. He said nothing like this has ever happened before, but they will stand behind their product.
Here is something I didn't know, he told me that if I'm trailering my boat for longer than an hour or two, that I should be pulling the tower speakers off, as they are not meant to take the stresses of trailering. Water has give to it, but trailering puts too much stress on the speakers/brackets. So the guys with the heavier tower speakers may want to take note of this.
I'm glad I spent the extra $$ for the Wetsounds package, this is a real top notch company in my opinion.
