Adding Accessories to Batteries

This may or may not sound like what the subject heading is.

I've got alot of accessories going to my battery currently. I have tower lights that were wired with three switchs, interior neon and led's that I added, then main power wire for the amps. Basically it looks like a zoo at the main battery terminals picture at least 7 ring terminals plus the main power wire and wanted to get some feed back from folks that have alot of accessories on their boats and how they cleaned it up...

I have a friend that has a supra and on his boat on the main fuse panel there was like 5+ free spaces to add switches.. I was thinking of something like that but closer to the battery so I wouldnt have to run new wires back up under the drivers feet...

First off you are running a lot of things off that one battery, I strongly suggest adding another. To clean up your current situation, run some 0 gauge wire to a distribution block, then whatever you need off of that with your fuses. Depending on where you mount it will determine if you need longer/new wires.

I do have two batteries, I keep everything on one for back up reasons. I just cant envision a distribution block to put ring terminals or like speaker wire size wire into.

you could use something similar to this. This is what I used to distribute the power to my three pumps and heater in the boat. http://www.rivermarine.com/ELECTRIC/...CE/BUSBARS.HTM It is just a dual bus bar. You can get them at most boating stores such as Boat US or Westmarine.
