Does anyone know if CC makes a model of boat that has this dash that doesn't have the remote installed? I want to do away with the remote and would like to know if there is a solid piece that I can get for this location. If not, Grant, what'ya think? Something is grey to match the dash?

RE: Clarion Remote Location
I know the signiture editions have the key there and no remote at all, but I'm not sure if that's a different shape piece... Maybe Mikeski has a pic of his dash, I think his 211 is a SE.
EDIT: I got this pic of of CC's website. It looks like it would fit...
BTW, what don't you like about the remote? I think it's great not needing to open the glove box every time you want to change the volume or a song...I Nautique, therefore I am.

RE: Clarion Remote Location
Was thinking of going with the new clarion or perhaps the new pioneer premier. I'll probably end up with a remote there, but the oval shape will be hard to cover. The person who said \"Money can\'t buy happiness\" never rode behind an \"OLD\" 210.

As Abundiga mentioned my 211 SE didn't come with the remote, it's just like the one he posted. As Grant does I made a new panel out of 3/4 MDF, shaped, routed, sanded, bondoed, resined, painted. Actually quite a bit of work, I think I have at least 10 hours into that panel. I went budget and sprayed it with rattle can Rust Oleum silver which was a pretty close match. Unfortunately that paint doesn't harden up well at all and it sustained a few scratches on install. I was tired of working on it so it's installed with scratches for now. The automotive grade paint custom mixed to match the factory panel is in the cabinet ready to spray on the panel when I have some time and motivation to correct the situation. Right now I am too busy skiing/boarding to worry about a few scratches.
I am also running a pre-amp/line-driver/EQ, it really helps being able to shape the sound and bumps the signal to the amps, plus it adds another aux-in so I can run my XM to the stock deck and my Ipod to the pre-amp.
I have the factory SE key panel in my cabinet if you think you can use it. I may consider selling it?
Send me a note if you are interested.

Thanks Mike- I don't think I can get the remote mounted in that plate. It requires a 2" hole, but the face is square so it may hang off. Checking now wth the dealer on wether or not the 03 one will fit. It's plastic, instead of metal, but hoping it's the same shape. Post a pic of your work! What hu/remote did you go with? The person who said \"Money can\'t buy happiness\" never rode behind an \"OLD\" 210.
