Looking for tips on '96 new CD-deck install

Hey, all...
I'm going to visit my friend next week who's got a '96 nautique with a non-functioning CD-deck. I spoke to them about me helping out installing a new deck they already have, but they said they were having a really tough time getting the current stereo out.

I searched around google and here and came up empty. Are there any tips, or FAQs on removing/installing stereos in nautiques that might help us out?

I took the Clarion stereo out of my 94 ski CB by removing the plastic spring loaded cover. On the right and left side under the side covers of this piece is four screws. I removed them and the whole thing pops right off. The stereo should come right out with it if its similar to my 94. Hope that helps.
