    02 SANTE Speaker Replacement

Im getting ready to replace all 6 interior speakers on my 02 SANTE and have a question. What is the best way to remove the front panel in the bow? My boat has the screens covering the stock speakers which are mounted behind the panels and I would like to mount the new ones on the outside. I've removed both rear panels with no problem. Any advice or pictures would be great. Thanks

I'm doing this from memory, so I might miss something.

There's a couple screws on each side of the back. You'll have to remove the drivers kick panel to get to the screws on the drivers side. There is a nut/washer on each side above the cup holders. Watch out for the screws that hold in the molded cup holder piece. They hurt when you find them. You're going to want to reach up from front

There is one last nut/washer up in the very front.

Once you remove all the screws/nuts then you need to lift up on each back rest and in the front.

Here are some photos I have. Look for the screw and bolt holes.

Very helpful info and thanks for the pictures. I'll be careful with those screws, they do hurt

Also, now that I look at the photos, there looks to be two sets of screws halfway between the upholders and the front of the bow. I don't remember them, but it looks like they exist.

Also if you haven't seen this thread, I had it bookmarked for when I front mount my speakers.

I had a few seconds to mess with mine today and the two sets of screws were for the hangers to hold the panel on. Thats how mine was anyway. On the port side mine didn't have a threaded bolt and nut above the cup holder but the starboard side has something holding it. Didn't realize how tight it is getting a hand up there.

I've never seen that thread but wow he really cleaned that boat up! I really like the flush mount speakers and will attempt it on mine.

Could you post pics if you end up doing the flush mount speakers? I was going to do that this winter too, but I was thing about trying to find a composite material to use so I wouldn't have to ever worry about rot. Probably overkill.

Also, were those hangers the same as the ones in the back of the bow? Because now I think I might be missing them. That or I took them off by accident when I was removing the bow before I took those pics. I took too much apart last summer to remember.

Yeah I can post pics just don't know how long it will be. Plan on having it done by the spring. I'm also adding a battery and relocating all 3 to the rear of the boat under the seat as well as a new amp rack, amps, tower speakers etc. I havent bought any interior speakers yet still trying to decide which ones.

Yes those hangers are the same as the ones on the back.
