    Surf rack

Now that spring is around the corner I am starting to get excited again for boating season. One of the complaints that I had for my 2013 210 was that my soulcraft surfboard wouldn't fit in the factory rack. Has anyone found tines that fit in the factory system or has anyone found another swivel rack that they have added to their current setup that works and looks good?

    Cheers!

Look at Sampson surf/surf Typhoons..... and Roswell CI Surf racks.

Roswells look a hair better quality with the new magnatic swivel adapters.

I saw that thread from last year where you mentioned possibly adding a swivel rack to your first G23, did you end up doing it?
      I will look at those.

Thanks guys, I will look hard at the Roswell. Anyone have a pic of their tower with an additional set of swivel racks on? My boat is in storage so I can't even think of where another set would best fit.

No, not yet....I actually have the Roswells priced out here on my desk now....at a great price thru Buxton I might add.... their CI surf racks with the magnetic swivel clamps. I think they look better than the Sampsons, not a fan of the tribal looking rack backplate.

Here's my issue. I only occaisionally need to carry more than 4 boards... not often, but sometmes. One of my boards is the Triple X Slayer, 2.5" thick. Wont fit in the OEM racks.

On the fence over the money and cluttering up the tower with additional clamp on racks. I wish they had bolt on 3 slots tines like Skylon has... just like their CI surf racks but with an additional 3rd slot, so I could carry 6 boards, and not have to add additional racks and clutter the tower. It would keep the costs down if the tine mounting holes lines up with the FCT4 rack mounts and we could do a direct swap replacement to the 3 slot tines.

The 3 rack idea would be great. Dare to dream. If I had a G it wouldn't be a big issue as I would probably have enough storage space but not so with the 210.

My plan is to swap out one of the stock racks with the SI rack. My ShredStixx surfboard is slightly thicker than normal so it won't fit in the standard rack. My wife's ShredStixx board fits snug in the standard rack (she's got a Nano and I've got a Thresher).

Axe, are you gonna powdercoat it? Mine stock racks are black and I would need to powdercoat to match

FYI, Buxton has a set of the surf tines there in Brandi's ? office....

I lined them up to see if you could swap tines.... and the mouting holes are off by a little bit and straight mount vs curve comes into play. You'll need to buy Roswell's swivel...and with that it'd be a direct swap.

I wouldn't put a glass board like a soulcraft in a tower rack like that. It's going to get all dented up any time you hit chop with the board in the rack.

                        NYRYAN, that's good to know.

shawndoggy, any other options you can think of? I thought about the bimini pockets but I don't think it would work with the current bimini setup.

If only Nautique could get Mastercraft to license out their patented rack (clamp down) design...

Ryan, yes you need the Roswell swivel mount as well but you can swap out the Nautique logo/emblem to keep it looking stock (aside from it saying a Roswell stamped on the side).

Iamcdn, let's just say they'll match the tower
