A good battery with a full charge will be 12.5+, depending on its age. Below 12 is considered depleted and it needs charging and below 11 and electronics may not turn on.

Also what are you using to listen to music?
If you plugging in an iPod using the aux port and full volume on it and the boat speakers this could cause as well

Okay volts are fine reading around 13.4

I tried different inputs with two different end devices and the radio and they all did the same thing. I am really curious why the tower speaker lights flash when the boat speaker amp turns off.

          Dumb question

After reading your last post let me clarify.

Your lights flicker after the amp is turned off??

          So they flicker while running?

No they don't flicker when both amps are running, just when then in boat amp shuts down, which causes the tower speaker lights to flicker.
I also tried isolating the grounding issue that did't help ether.

So I found the problem(s), I pulled speaker wires off the amp one at a time. I had to turn off the boat each time I did this. So the last speaker I pulled off was the sub. It then would stop going into protect mode. So I pulled out the sub and found that the sub speaker wires where shorting out on the heater tube( the small wire that gives it, it's shape). I also noticed that when they put it tighter they ended up putting a second set of holes in and they over lap. They were not counter sunk, one was chipping bad. I hope that I don't get spider crackes starting there.
So they I cranked it up once it was all together and then the other amp would go into protect mode at around 30. The lights one the tower speakers where lighting up like a eq to the music. So I figured that that wasn't right. So I started pulling wires and when I pulled the white set it stopped blinking. Then the amp would work properly. It seams that both speakers where still working.
Would that other set be for a second set of speakers or is it needed?
Anyway it seams to work now.

Wow that's a first. You need to bring this to there attention so it doesn't happen to others assuming this is factory stuff

I'm not sure what the other speaker wires are for

I bet it's pre-wired for the third set of in cabin speakers, just my guess.

Would they be for a second set of tower speakers. I am only running one set?

Could be. Don't you also have four cabin speakers instead of 6?

                        I have six cabin speakers
this on my second amp it only feeds the tower speakers but there are 4 wires coming out of the amp to the tower. Does anyone know if there are 2 sets of wires going to each speaker or is it just for a second set?

Okay project finished. So the amp is wired for future tower speakers . So the just have cut live wires in the tower. So when you crank up the power it would arc to the light wires for the future speakers then back feed an cause the lights on tower speakers I have to light when you cranked it up. I would suggest to others to pull the plug and tape the ends or pull them out of the amp. Thanks for the help.
