All right guys. I'm at a loss here. My head unit recently quit powering some of the RCA jacks. So I purchased a ws 420. I was gonna wire it up next to stereo and run it around the bow. So I disconnected grounds and power from head unit. I then realized I could tap in to stereo wiring harness directly under dash so that's what I did. Yellow to red red to remote wire and black to ground. Worked like a charm last night. I went out today and no power anywhere. Test light on red and yellow and no power. So I tied the red in w he remote wires from my amps and ran the hot wire straight from stereo battery. Worked like a charm. Went to the water and hour and depth gauge not working and fuel pump not working. Tried it for a few minutes and all of a sudden hour depth and fuel pump all begin working. I had four hours of stereo as well as a running boat. So my question is what have I done wrong to cause the original red and yellow to lose power and is this at all related to fuel pump gauge issue??
