Need input on wetsounds upgrade in 2010 210

This is my first time actually posting on here but I've been having issues with my stereo installer. I have a 2010 210 SANTE with the full Polk audio system(6 in boats, 4 towers, 1 sub)

i upgraded my towers to 2 sets of rev10's.
He pulled out the one Polk 500.4 amp and replaced it with a wetsounds SD4 amp to power all 4 rev10's.
Now I'm getting all the in boats replaced with wetsounds xs65's and he wants to run them off the one Polk amp.
I'm having issues dealing with this as I feel that my whole system needs more power. What's the ultimate way to do this?

I would imagine it would all depend on budget. What are you doing for a sub? I recently upgraded my system and did not want to go too overboard, in an attempt to even everything out. I have an HT6 (wetsounds 6 channel amp) powering 6 JL audio 6.5") Another HT6 bridged@ 3x300W (300W goes to JL audio 10" IB sub, and 300x2 to rev 8's)
Then I added one more set of rev 8's powered by an HT4 which is also bridged. (same as an HT6 but only 4 channels)
I have not fine tuned the rev's however I LOVE the inboats and 10" IB sub.

Just my 2 cents and your mileage may vary.

I was going to leave the sub the same. But as I stated I wanted to know the ultimate/ right way to power this system..

Here is my take FWIW. The SD-4 is an awesome amp, but not the best choice to drive 2 pair of Rev-10. For less cost and yielding more power, he could have used the SD-2 netting 300W rms to each pod as opposed to 185W rms from the SD-4. So yes, your Rev-10's are not power to the optimal point.

If you 6 in-boats and sub are powered by the polk 5 chnl, then that is a decent amp to drive 6 new XS-65, although they will handle a bit more. If he has proposed a different polk amp, please share which model?

I third the comment on SD2 vs SD4. That's what I'm running on my 4 REV10s.

I would 4th the SD2 and seriously question your installers "expertise" on stereo equipment. Running that Sd4 and (2 sets) rev 10's is basically throwing half your money away. You are getting no where near the potential of those Rev 10 speakers. They are getting just above half the RMS wattage they can handle. And when I say just above I mean barely above half. The Rev 10's scream with 400 watts a piece to them. I had 2 bridged on a Syn 4 on my old boat. I can't imagine 4 power correctly.

You can easily and optimally run 6 speakers off 4 channel amp and then have a dedicated sub amp as well. This would be one route. The XS65 is great with around 70-80 watts a speaker so it will depend on the amp pushing them. What amp is he using for the (6) a Syn 4 would be perfect and give you some head room.

Having a 3rd dedicated amp for the sub is also a great option. But you could get a high powered 6 or 5 channel amp and power your inboats and sub with a single amp like an SD6 to keep it uniform.

Lots of different options, but one thing is for sure here that SD4 is not the amp you want pushing 4 rev 10's. Since you already have it you could move it to the 6 inboats, but it's a bit of an overkill for (6) XS65. If you had XS650's tho it would be awesome.
