Tech Support Perfect Pass Email Exchange

    Hi,

The difference between the Wakeboard Pro and Digital Pro is that the Digital Pro comes with a Smart Timer for picking up magnets in a Slalom course. If you are not using a course then there is no need to purchase a Digital Pro. You will get the exact same pull from the Wakeboard Pro.

    Thank You,
    Aaron

    Thanks Aaron

But will the Digital Pro do the job as well or does it require calibration from a course? We'd prefer not getting the Wakeboard Pro.

    Hi,

If you are simply open water skiing the Wakeboard Pro would meet your needs. It is has a Slalom mode designed for open water skiing.

    Thank You,
    Aaron

We are about to order A Perfect Pass for Open Water Slalom Skiing only? Should we go digital pro or wakeboard? (we don't wakeboard at all)

I think they need to come up with better names. Wakeboard Pro is way too limiting if it's used for open water slalom skiing. We use it for foiling' why can't they just call it Perfect Pass I and Perfect Pass II? It's like they try to make it confusing! :???:

They are actually the same unit, I have talked to the PP techs on the phone about converting my wakeboard pro to a digital pro. If you do a hard boot on the system it will ask you which mode you want to run, at that point if you select digital pro it will have all the four event menu's. Add the timer, slalom switch and jump switch as desired. You will notice their are receptacles on the wakeboard pro where you can plug in the timers/switches.
