Are you refering to speaker wire or power and ground wires?

power and ground. The amps will be at most 8 feet away from the battery. I was thinking using one 4 gauge power cable with a 60 amp fuse into a distribution block that separates into two 8 gauge cables to the two amps. Same for the ground but without the fuse. Does that sound okay?

Also now that you mention it, with gauge speaker wire should i use?

In that case, the 4 will be fine. I wasn't aware you were keeping the other one and running both. 16 guage speaker wire is fine for most all speakers, including smaller subs.

I would definately use 4g for the power and gnd. I typically like to use 12G for the subs. 14 or 16 for speakers.

I say the 4 G because with that length, if you use 8G wire, the resistance in the wire is going to be a little over 5 milli ohms, where as the 4 G will have less than 1/2 of that, not even 2 milli ohms.

              Just somethin to think about.
