Ready to install new system need opinions

Ok I have 4 polk MMC650 with clarion APX480 amp straight forward easy install for me.

Question is if I decide to add a sub (10' or 12")buy should I buy another amp or run the 4 speakers off 2 channel then bridge other 2 to run the sub.

I'm not looking for the best and the loudest somewere in the middle of the road is all I need.

I think that set up with the one amp will work fine. I have about the same set up...running the four speakers with the one 4 channel amp (same polk speakers and same clarion amp) ...they are very loud. I have a self powering bass tube for my sub. I think running the 4 seakers and a sub off of that one amp will give you good sound and loud enough for your liking. Also the amp is rated to handle that kind of load so you will be in good shape.

Thanks for the advice did you have to install the inline crossovers for the MMC650 with that set up or straight wire the speakers. I think I will also try the self-powered sub set up what do you recommended for the sub

I used the inline cross overs for each speaker that came with them. They get wired in between the speaker and the amp

You can run one amp but you it would work better with two amps. If you run the amps off the battery they will be running on lower much voltage and therefore putting out less than the rated watts. Amps are also more efficient at the design load, if you can afford it you should get another amp, but it will work the way it is.
