Another thing to consider is the type of speaker you have inside the boat. For example I was using a 10db attenuation circuit on my HLCDs (tweeters) and they sounded muddy so I was turning up the highs but then the boat's speakers would scream. So I ended up reducing attenuation on the highs so I did not have to change my equilization when I moved the sound between the tower and the boat.

NVS made a few small changes, it's possible that some of the drivers were using a different HLCD. I can't say more, send me a message if you want me to speculate why.

From a technology standpoint the Tyrant is probably the best solution. I would like to see an 8" version with minimalistic hardware.

I went to the Boat show last Sunday and visited the NVS booth. As for looks, the Tyrant is slightly smaller than the addictions, but then you have the double barrell. I tried listening to them, but it was difficult. The area where the Audio vendors were grouped was a Mess. They were all cramped together, 5 or 6 audio booths blasting away at each other. There was no way to truely get a good feel & hear the quality of the audio. Im sorry, but I tried - It was driving me crazy with all the loud different music being played at the same time. CHAOS !

Though, they were offering a super sweet deal on all their stuff, I just cant commit to the speakers just yet, till I get a good test from them.

I agree with Mikeski - must demo them at the right situation.
