2007 Sv211 winter upgrades

Been working on the boat a little this winter.

Ballast - Pulled out the hard tanks in the rear and replaced them with 600 lb fly high sacs. Also, piggybacked the horseshoe sac off the belly tank in the front. With the lead plates I have in the front we should be pushing 2500 lbs of weight when fully loaded.

Stereo - Still a work in progress. Replaced all the speakers in the boat and went straight exile besides the sub which is JL audio. Added exile 4 tower speakers. Just need to rewire the new exile amp with 0 gauge to push the tower speakers. So stoked on how everything sounds!!

Interior - The best upgrade in my opinion is the new seadek to replace the old carpet and sano pads. I love this stuff and their customer service was top notch. Got it for the entire boat, transom, board racks, and swim deck. I also saw a post on wakeworld about making inexpensive Led speaker rings. So bought some Leds of eBay and wired them into the accent lighting on the interior. Also, added the Bimini top! Pretty excited on how it turned out!

Any comments or suggestions on what else I could do are appreciated!

Looks Great!!! Been thinking of the seadek myself. I didn't see any screws in the removable floor access panel. What was done to be able to remove the floor panel?

I am seriously contemplated doing the Seadek on the swim platform and rear steps now.

Paxdad- Thanks! It was actually super easy to do. I still have some LEDs left so I'm thinking about putting a few more in spots. Possibly the glove box, both rear storages and anywhere else I can think haha

ski4ever- I took the screws off of the floor panel so its just sitting there and can be pulled up if I want. I actually saw another boat on here that seadek did for the 211 and they cut the seadek around the screws for the floor panel. The floor panel sat quite nicely without screws in it so i wasnt too worried.

nukemustang- I believe this is the stock steering wheel. I promise you you wont regret the seadek. It looks so much better and feels 10x better on your feet than that old cracking sano pad stuff.

Not stock (at least on a 211). That is a steering wheel from the Full Throttle package from 2008.

Thanks nautiquejeff! I wasn't sure honestly. We bought this boat used with about 175 hours on it. Best boat purchase I've ever made!

Why did you go with mounting the tower speakers on the front bar vs the rear?

I've got a 2007 SV 211 and want to upgrade the amp and all the stock speakers, maybe add a subwoofer. Since you love the sound on yours, would you be able to share the components you used with model numbers, and where you placed things? Also, did you need to do any modifications to where the speakers sit or where the amp sits?

Swatguy- I honestly just put them on the front bar rather than the rear because the wires for the speakers were already being run through that bar. Rather than having to rewire or run the wires to the rear bar I just mounted them there. Honestly im glad i did, I dont think the bimini top wouldnt have fit if I had them on the rear bar.

Swankster- I just got them off amazon. It was a roll of 300 of them that are waterproof and you can cut them at every 3 light intervals then solder wires on. It was like 15 bucks for the whole roll.

Dennyerari- Give the guys at exile audio a call and tell them what your looking to do. They have excellent customer service and helped me tremendously. Anyways, I have 3 pairs of the SX65m, tower speakers I have the 2 pairs of the xm9's and a xm15.4 amp pushing the tower speakers. I would highly recommend exile audio to anyone and couldnt be more stoked on their products and service.
