Stereo at Dock.....need bluetooth advice.

I have a marine stereo inside a cabinet under cover at my deck which has an auxiliary input. We spend a lot of time at our dock during the Summer on a 12"x36" area and we like to listen to the iPod. Well blue tooth has spoiled me and I want to add bluetooth to the existing stereo.

We sit about 12-15 feet away from the stereo components so I am looking for suggestions on a good bluetooth receiver. I have looked at the one from WetSounds but am willing to look at others. Is 12-15 feet too far away? I do have attic access and could run a long RCA cable if you feel that is necessary to get it closer.

Throw me some ideas and suggestions.

Do you fell like the Wetsounds BT adaptor will support a distance of 12-15 feet or are we getting dear max distance? The A-Link looks cool but I want to just stream from my phone to the Bluetooth receiver.

With the A-Link, your phone or what ever storage device will still be your music source, but it would not restrict you to a device that has BT. It also is not compressed like BT and much better range. You can also by an additional receiver for the boat and use the original transmitter with it also, not just at the dock.

We are not apple people, but android. with 3 phones and 2 tablets, we have not found the range to be an issue with these devices and the BTVC.

Yeah, I was pretty skeptical about the compression. The cybox with the new profiles sounds as good as plugged in directly with a wire. That being said, the true test will be in a couple months on the boat, a totally different environment.

My friend has an audio shop and the use it more than any other wit much success and you can find it for 35 bucks i am ordering 1 this week

Mine showed up yesterday. I'll get it hooked up this weekend and test at the dock. I just hope that 12-15' away is not too far.

The Fusion bluetooth receiver is now installed and I am VERY happy. I can stream music at 80 feet away from the receiver. Yes, 80 feet!

At $35 on Amazon it's quite the bargain.

same here I hooked mine up yesterday and it is absolutely amazing how far you can get away from the boat and I would say 80 feet is definitely correct

I also vented the sub woofer compartment major difference i can hear so much more detail and mid bass you can hear it far away.
