Dual 10" subs in a G?

Has anyone put dual 10" subs in a box in their G? Pics?

Looking at th JL M10W5s. Trying to maximize the JL MHD900/5 amp that I already put in.

Anyone have any feedback on that model JL sub?

You would still need to vent the storage compartment as been discussed in other threads.

a0128 - I definitely like where your head is. 2 concerns I have

1) I take the boat in saltwater on occasion so I am leaning toward marine speakers. Not sure if it really makes a difference.

2) the amp I put in only does 500w on the sub channel. Those bad boys are 1200w RMS.

1) Assuming the sub is not going to be exposed to direct water infiltration you should be OK. If we were talking about the in-boat speakers then I'd go with a marine rated speaker.

Both are 2 ohm - perfect for the sub channel of the HD900/5.

Salt water is another ball game. Automotive woofers and amplifiers usually work fine in a fresh water boat. But for salt water I would definitely use a marine woofer and marine amplifier with a sealed chassis.
Two things to avoid in a boat.
One is shallow mount woofers when the boat gives you another or better option.
The second is to avoid untreated automotive MDF enclosures covered in trunk liner.

So two JL Audio marine 10-inch acoustic-suspension woofers are right on target. A strictly regulated 500 watt amplifier will be perfect with 250 per each sub.

it doesn't sound like the boat is exclusively used in salt water.....if it's a once or twice a year dip in the salt I wouldn't worry about it. If it's once or twice a month in the salt, then I would definitely want to stick to marine equipment.

Thank you all for the input. It seems like we are hitting the saltwater every couple of weeks so I am going to go marine sub. Has anyone heard the JL pre-enclosed marine subs (FS110-W5-SG)? Was thinking about bolting 2 of those on the ledge where the trash can sits....

Have you looked at the Roswell G-series sub enclosure and the 1211 DVC sub?

Granted it is only a single sub but the enclosure is specifically designed for your G23. Cleanest installation by far. This is from Jeff's PN G23.
