Just not happy with tinny sound coming from tower speakers on 2014 210 - ??

Nice new 210 but from the water the sound is no where as pleasant as it was on my 2008 211Team. Was wondering what others would recommend for sound and similar mounting as the clean mount to the flat horizontal member of the tower is sweet. Open to any suggestions. The sound in the salon is fine but from 12 feet from behind the boat the sound is very tinny. Thanks in advance

Rev10s on 400w each is pretty much the F150 industry standard. Throw a zone controller 420/ZLD and thats like power locks and windows.

Will the REv 10's mount in the same way as the current speakers. This is a flat horizontal surface. And would 8 inch work as well if i needed the head room? Thanks

What are you trying to do with your speakers? Do you just want a near field sound or are you looking to get sound back to a wakeboarder as well?

With the adapters from Wetsounds, the Rev10s will mount at the factory location. Plus you can still use the bottom portion of the swivel clamp for quick release and swivel. That's how I mounted mine...I'll try to remember to take photos later this week.

I was under the impression that you lost the swivel feature, Xrichard. That is good to know.

Although the stock location is cool, having them a few extra inches back may mean the difference between the occupants of the back seat getting blasted or not. Putting them on the rear bar also allows the wires to be fuly hidden in the tube, not poking out from the rear tube like the stock wires do.

Having said all that, given how the rest of the system is underpowered, I bet some amp tuning and perhaps just putting more power to the stock speakers would really make them come alive and might be good enough if surf music is all you are after.

xRichard, pictures would be awesome. I'd like to keep the stock look of the boat and use the manufacturers cone speakers that they are now installing in new boats, but I heard they cost twice as much as the Rev10s.
Yes, i want to better the near boat accoustics versus the far.
If anyone knows of stock cone style speakers, please let me know.
Or if anyone is interested in my stock horn tower speakers, they are available. Thanks

I understand the speakers are Roswell's (www.roswellwakeair.com) and that there is a mod mounting ring that allows their 6x9 cones to be installed in the same housing. No idea on the cost yet, but hope to edit this in the future with more info.
