Looking for some advice/pictures for how to best instal (6) WS-65 interior speakers. I know there are some threads going around for older boats but I am having trouble finding them..Wondering what is the best method for fastening the speakers on the outside of the vinyl compared to the previously stock system. Thanks!!

FWIW, on my 2008, the cutout in the panel was the same size as the second generation WS650s (too small for the very first version). I put the speakers in place and fastened them from the outside with screws through vinyl and the white plastic-like material. No backing plate, no nuts--the same way the factory did it on the stock speakers. I had the boat like that for +/- four years before I sold it--never a problem. (IIRC, CC had wrapped the vinyl through the hole, cut notches to make it smooth, and stapled it to the back of the white panel.)
The setup dudebro posted is great, but beyond the means of most DIY. If you're concerned about backing, you could always accomplish pretty much the same thing with nuts and washers on the back of the panel.Previous boats:

2008 SAN 210

No issues at the moment, just looking for advice on how to mount the speakers. The other day I received my wet sounds gear and the boat just came out of storage so I am about to disassemble everything and mount the speakers/amps/sub/420.Excited for consistent spring weather up at the lake!!Now

A few upgrades to my stereo system over the last week. Now to mount two amps and the wiring.
With regards to the wiring should inreplace what was previously in place for the stock speakers??..I'm no electrical/wiring professional by any means. While on the topic is there anything special i should consider when wiring the speakers/sub to the amps, then amp to the equalizer, then to the additinal battery. I.e. wire gauge, grounds, additional fuses, etc etc.

Thanks so much. The hard work was well worth it. The additional time to countersink the speakers made the world of difference. I could only imagine if the interior speakers were sitti on top of the vinyl. They would have always been in the way.
I have a few more photos of where the amps were located, and the 420. A little more moulding was done to finish off the 420 equalizer. Now
