Hi all!
I dont't post much but read often and after the experience I just had I thought it was justified to pass on the information. I purchased the boat last summer from Action in Arizona and can't recommend them enough. The transaction was easy and the people were great and the price was very reasonable considering what I've seen.
Moving on to the stereo...
After looking at this forum over and over and talking to everyone I could, I contacted Nautique Parts to inquire about the Roswell box... They were EXTREMELY Helpful and put me in touch with the VP of Roswell the same day I called so I could ask how their box would pair with the new 12w6v3 I bought in preparation last year and hadn't even taken out of the box yet. Roswell went above and beyond and sent me an email within 5 minutes of our conversation with graphs of their sub and the JL so I could compare and be confident that the enclosure would indeed work and not just sound ok but sound really good. I installed the box this week and hooked up the JL to the factory 5 channel and was blown away at the sound difference... staggering!!! Back to the enclosure.... If you are thinking about adding any type of sub to your G don't waste your time call Nautique Parts and order the Roswell box. This thing is gorgeous, very well built and matches the fit and finish of the boat perfectly! I can't understand why someone would do anything different and when I read G owners use price as a deterrent it confuses the heck out of me... $130k+ for a boat and they complain about $600 box... Just do it you will be more then pleased and your boat won't look like a 16 year olds first ride after a trip to the stereo shop with a cheep sealed box stuffed in the compartment...
The next steps to install as I find time...
MHD 750/1 for the sub
MHD 600/4 tower (factory horns - 2 pairs) May add a second amp... THOUGHTS???
MHD 600/4 in boat or the WetSounds SD6 - OPINIONS WANTED... What should I do here...
Heres a picture of the enclosure...
