    Replacing XMD1

I'm replacing my XMD1 on my 2002 nautique with a Pioneer DEH-P80MP. Is there any way to make it fit in the same slot? If not where would you recommend installing the Pioneer head unti and is there a cover plate that I can buy to cover the hole where the XMD1 was installed? :???:

Here is how I mounted a Pioneer HU and eq in the existing location. I have since changed it back to a Clarion XMD3 and moved the eq as well.

Why did you remove and replace w/XMD3? I'm really trying to stay away fm Clarion.

Did you just make the cover plate or did you purchase?

      Thanks.

I switched so I could get more rca jacks for the ipod, i think.

It is hand made, i think i still have it if you want it, not sure if you are going to do the eq that way or not.

I'm having a cover made in black plastic and another one using cloth that closely matches the interior color. Did you have any problems with water? My XMD was always bone dry and I drive pretty hard.

Has anyone ever installed a head unit in the locker on other side of the cockpit? Would like to see some install pic's. Just another option.

          Thanks, Chris
