96 Super Sport "house" speaker installation

I'm installing Polk UM651MM speakers to replace the factory speakers which are installed from the rear of the panels on either side of the interior adjacent to main cabin area. I'm planning in installing them from the front. Has anyone done this to their 96 SS or SN and can you provide any advice from experience? The hole opening for the Polks is 5.1".

I decided to install them from the rear instead of having them into people's backs and getting knocked into all the time. There's plenty of room behind the panels. I took the two side panels off, removed the old speakers, installed the Polks with grills on (tweeters are mounted in the grills, so this saved a lot of work making new supports for them for the rear install). To prevent vibration from resonance, I isolated the grills to the rear of the panels with a double-sided tape foam ring cut out using the existing PVC rings from the old speakers between the speaker grill and the back of the panels. It took about 90 minutes all in to complete the swap. Sounds awesome to me!

Do you have any pictures? Did you install them to the backside of the upholstered panels or to the front side of the boat sides? I bought the same speakers and was trying to think of a way to install them without having them stick out.
