    Fusion MS-BT100 Bluetooth

I just purchased a Fusion MS-BT100 Bluetooth from Amazon.
    http://www.amazon.com/Fusion-MS-BT10.../dp/B00CUMQU50
Was wondering about installation. I have very little experience with this.
I have a 05 SANTE with the stock stereo.
Can I run the power and ground to the clarion amp?
Connect the power to same connection as the blue wire?
I currently have a smaller amp that runs my tower speakers wired to that connection as well as the receiver. Would adding the Bluetooth be too much on one connection?

Any advice you could provide would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Run the positive wire to the red positive wire of the head unit and the black ground wire to the ground wire on the head unit or another known ground source.

If you do it that ^ way, you may have to add a manual switch (if that Bluetooth unit does not have a switch on it). I just hooked up the JL Audio BT adapter up that way... at first, but the way I have my other stuff hooked up, it kept the BT live at all times. I then tapped the BT red into the HU 12v trigger line instead and it works great. Comes on when I turn the HU on and shuts off when I turn the HU off. I don't think you are supposed to do it that way, but the BT unit draws very little power (I think it is a 3 amp fuse), and so far it is working fine.

I will disagree with you. If not in the boat I either have the battery switch set to "off" or the toggle switch in the "all off" position. You can validate this by attempting to pair to the BT and you will see that it will not find it on your device.

That would be weird if they did run to the amp. You should be able to unplug them from the glove box aux connection (depending on your boat) and plug the BT directly in their place, then connect the power and ground wire. If you have BT you don't need the aux input anymore in the glove box. You will set your remote or the CMD6 in the "aux" source and connect your device.

My setup might be unique, as I wired it myself, but my WS420 is wired directly to my audio battery (with the remote wire into my head unit). When I tapped my BT into the WS420, it was always on. So, depending on your setup and what you are tapping into, you may or may not have the same problem. I did, and my solution was to tap into the remote on that was going from my HU to my WS420. Another option would be to install a switch on the BT, but that (a) would require me to buy a switch and (b) require me to flip that switch every time I wanted to turn it on or off. It was cheaper and more convenient to tap into the remote on line of my HU/WS420.

Ok thanks. I didn't trace them all the way ,may just be crossing over the amp wires.i will check it out but it sounds like it does run to the glovebox then.great , it will be easy to hook up.

I went to the local hardware store and picked up a cigarette lighter plug and just wired it to that plug with heat shrink but connectors
then i put it in my storage compartment by the steering wheel where the aux plug ins are and just plugged the rca's in and plugged the power plug that i wired and i was all
set for bluetooth really easy to do

Was thinking of doing it that way(with a 12 volt plug). Sure sounds a lot easier then pulling the head unit.

I use the same BT adapter in my boat. The unit works well for us, but I have one complaint - the BT does not automatically re-pair to your device.

I initially tapped the BT power into the amp sense wire (as above) so that it would go on and off with the amp, but this caused a problem as the amp loses power every time I restart the boat. Every time the power to the BT was lost, I would have to re-pair my device manually. I solved this by tapping into the memory power wire (yellow) for the head unit. I have noticed no draw on the battery from the BT staying on, but I do not plan to leave this way forever. I think I will tap into the 12v (cig lighter) wire that is controlled on/off by a dashboard switch.

What is the plug for the aux connection just next to the steering wheel.where it has usb on one side aux on the other. Is it just a standard 3.5mm plug. I put one in there and it seems really loose connection.
