Thanks for the feedback. We got a quote to remove the fiberglass stock box and install a new ported box with a Wet Sounds XS-12 sub and two bass exit vents under the obrservers seat. We'll see!

I agree with this. I would be leary of anyone who quotes that they can remove it and put a new box in its place. Once that support is gone, it is gone forever.

Have the people you are talking to ever removed the current woofer and have they ever done this before in this exact model of boat?

Here's somebody that did it....and multiple others have done it as well.

Like somebody else stated (which I haven't seen a G w/o the factory sub), but some G's weren't ordered with the factory sub in which case that entire enclosure isn't even there?? Like I said tho, I personally haven't seen one without the sub there so I'm not too sure.

Also check the sticky "Let's see em" under this category (link below). There are a few good installs there including some diff upgraded sub ideas. As seen on NautiqueJeff's boat, Roswell even makes a specific box for the G series boats...looses storage space though.

Have you looked at Roswell's sub box?

This is what Jeff did with his sub on the PN G23
