2 awg or 1/0 awg power wire?

I am looking at upgrading the power supply to my amps. I have 3 Polk PAD4000.4 amps. I'm going to run about 12-15 ft of power wire from the Perko switch in the rear of the boat to the amps under the love seat. Should I use 1/0 or 2 awg wire to accomplish this? I'm leaning towards 2 awg partly because it costs a little less, but mostly because I think it will be a little easier to work with, but I don't want to skimp either. So should I go with 2 or 1/0 awg?
    TIA

That is basic car audio electronics. On the right hand side are various topics. Number 16 is the discussion about wire. It also includes a system design assistant to allow you to see which size you need. You just need to know what your wattages are for your amps and the length of wire needed. Plug those in and it will give you a minimum power wire size.

If I were you, knowing the system you have described, there is a good chance that you are going to eventually put more power to it. Stereo stuff becomes an addiction, and running the bigger power wire just once is nice. Or could even be a good selling point to the next guy...'hey, I have a pretty good stereo, but if you want to totally max it out, the wiring is already ready for more powerful amps'.
