New Stereo System for 1991 SN

I will be picking up a 1991 SN tomorrow night and I am curious about what I have to do to get started with a kickass stereo system........

The boat has a pylon in it already, so I want to add a couple of speakers to it so I can hear the music while Im riding. Any opinions on a good pair of speakers? where do I get them? and what amp should I use to power them?

Next I would like to add an amp to the 4 speakers in the boat. Its a new pioneer system, so I am not going to worry about replacing them right away, just want to bump up the power to them. Maybe I could power them along with the pylon speakers??!!

And last, I would like to add at least one sub with an amp. What is better....a sub with a box or something like a bazooka tube? Im thinking a box will be better....if so, where should I put it in the boat?

Thanks in advance for all the help!!

A lot of the speaker selection is personal preference... And right now I'm not too up to date on prices and all that. But one thing I will tell you is I'd stick a box sub up in the nose. All that fiberglass around it... BOOM!

But different subs and boats work different with each other.

Not sure how much they have, but you might try Overton's and Bart's Water Sports.

You could always do a google search for "marine stereo equipment".

I'm sure ebay has a lot of stuff too.

Cowboyup, I wouldn't worry so much about getting marine audio equipment, except for the headunit. Marine equipment tends to be more expensive than regular car audio equipment with not much, if any, benefit. In terms of speakers, subs, and amps, the first thing I would ask is how much do you want to spend? There is equipment out there at all price points, but keep in mind, you usually get what you pay for. My $.02
