Ok, finallly was able to listen to a G with Wavefront. First the good; Very good factory stereo, bass is very musical and not muddy like some of the systems that I've listened to in other boats. The JL in-boats have a natural sound that I find very appealing compared to my Wetsounds xs 650's that I find are a little too bright. The extra sub that you get with the studio elite package makes a big difference and really fills out the sound. Now the bad. For the $4000 that you are paying for the studio elite option you get a extra sub, a extra amp, 2 6x9 speakers, and zone control. So $300 sub, $300 pair of 6x9's, $650 amp, and zone control that is not nearly as functional as my wetsounds 420 is suppose to make someone excited. Very good factory system, but drastically overpriced. Take that $4000 to your local stereo dealer and you will end up with a better sounding system, no doubt. Don't get me wrong, I really like the JL speakers. In fact I prefer them to the Wetsounds that I currently have in my boat, but for my money, I would skip the studio elite/Wavefront option and have your local stereo shop pimp out your boat.
