I am reassembling a 2007 SANTE 220 that was a complete overhaul. The corrosion on this boat was significant. We have replaced nearly everything, including much of the wiring (a precaution - none of the wiring looked too bad). I'm rewiring a CMD6 into two amps - Polks 4000.4 (all speakers) and 5000.5 (stock 10" polk momo sub). Will have six MM651ums with two horn monos on the new tower. I ran the front and rear outputs of the head unit into the 4000.4, and the non-fader output of the head unit directly into the 5000.5. I get power to my amps and my speakers, but the sub is not working. Before I write off the sub (which is a definite possibility given the condition of this boat) I wanted to check to make sure I ran the wiring correctly. I'm not an audio expert, but for some reason I believe I am the cause of the problem - not the equipment. Any help is greatly appreciated!

How are your speakers wired and to which amps?
First thing I would check is where you input RCA is going into on the 5000.5. . Since you only have one input it should be going into channel 1 not the sub channel. Second thing I would check would be the source select switch for the sub on the 5000.5. Since you only have one input it should be set at INT.
I would actually wrun the RCA's this way. Non fade to sub channel on your 5000.5, second standard (rear or front) RCA to input on 5000.5 and run the left over single input into the 4000.4. I always like having the sub having its own source line when possible keeping it separated. I am sure the 4000.4 is running all the same speakers whether it be the two tower horns or the 6 inboats so having one input wouldn't effect the overal sound. Having two inputs one for sub and one for the speakers on the 5000.5 would give you a little better ability to adjust.
So if you decide to reconfigure to two inputs on the 9000.5 side you will want to have the source switch on SUB
If the switch swap doesn't work try hooking sub up to the 4000.5 temporarily to isolate and see if the sub is the issues.

I've tried your setup with no success. I checked, and I have zero output to the sub. Is there some sort of crossover I need between the 4000.4 and 5000.5? I have just the sub AV outputs from the head unit plugged into the 5000.5 I have tried every setting you suggested and the manual suggested - but I still can't get an output to the speaker.

have you disconnected the sub leads form the amp and check the impedance (ohms) of the sub and its wires? If there are RCAs running to the sub chnl and the full-range chnls, then the sub should gets its signal, regardless of any switch settings. Have you swapped some RCAs around to make sure you have output from the head-unit?

I think I've switched everything imaginable - RCAs, subs and amps. I measured 3.6+ ohms from the sub. I've tested and confirmed output on the nonfader channel from my cmd6 which varies with sound level adjustments. I swapped inputs into the sub hookup on the amp (nonfaders and front/rear outputs) with no success. I swapped RCAs with limited (see below) success. I pulled the JL subs from my brother's Jeep (also in the garage) and could get one of his subs STARTING to work on my PA D4000.4, and then on my polk momo marine sub (which also popped when I hooked it up to a 9V battery). But when I swapped RCA wires from the head unit to the amp (thinking some of the interference was due to dirty RCA wires) nothing worked. I swapped the wires back and nothing works. I swapped back to the JLs and nothing works. I've pulled apart the amps to confirm no corrosion or other issues.
The 6501ums work.
I can't figure this out. Looks like its time to call the professionals.
