    Need some knowledge

I have a 2001 PAN and I am installing a new system. I am running four 6x3/4 polk comp. for the tower and four 6 1/2 polk momo's for the interior. I have a kicker 650.4 (170X4). My question is would you run a seperate amp for the interior or try and run all eight off this amp? what would be best for this situation and clarity?

    Thanks Bill

    RE: Need some knowledge

I would run the tower speakers off of a separate amp simply for the reason of being able to independently control the volume of the two sets of speakers. If you're not too concerned with being able to do that, then there wouldn't be anything wrong with running them all off of the same amplifier (I'm assuming that the Kicker 650.4 is stable at 2 ohms).

Polks can sound really good if setup right... so i woudl definitly run another amp. You can buy a refurb kicker online for cheap.

Also... you are probably going to blast the tower speakers so you are going to want the hi-pass frequency run higher. Where as is my boat the polks are running the hi-pass lower and they can pump some nice midbass.

      I love polks!

Question on the polks - the ones that came in my SE sound like crap! Is that because I do not have an amp driving them? Just curious because I was about to start adding tower speakers ,etc.

              scottrob,

If you dont have an amp there is your problem! For a good price, i would recommend a kicker 350.4 only $124 refurbished.at www.hifisoundconnection.com.
