Adding LED Cupholders and Underwater lights

It is my understanding that the 2015 G23 comes pre-wired for the led cup holders and underwater lights for the boats that didn't add them as a factory option. Anyone out there added them aftermarket? Any thoughts/tips? Should I be worried about drilling a thru hole for the underwater LEDs or is it a no-brainer?

I would highly recommend Shadow caster LED's.... I had a custom aluminum bar made for a 230 I had, that mounted to the platform brackets with 2 lights, angled out to light up the wake. Worked very well for 3 years, and even adapted the light bar to a 91 barefoot that I had - with them still working fine...

I'd love to hear if the boat is prepared for the LED Cupholders. I did not order with my boat but asked dealer for a quote to add. It was about $1,200 so I never had them installed. Where will you source the LED cupholders?

The cupholder LED kits are available from NautiqueParts at the link below. These do not have the connectors on the wires though. You'll have to remove the connectors on the factory wiring side and use wire connectors to connect them.

Also, I would recommend aftermarket underwater lights. The factory ones are good, but aftermarket ones are better and less expensive. They can easily be connected to the factory wiring so that they can be turned on through the LINC system. I use Roswell NightWater Pro lights on my boats. You can get them from NautiqueParts as well, but you'll have to e-mail them since they are not currently on the website.

Jeff, do you know if newer boats are pre-wired for LED cupholders? Do you have to get the dealer involved to make them show up in LINC system if they were not installed at the factory?

I believe the wiring is there. You need a code to turn on the feature in the LINC system. Your dealer may be willing to give you the code. I don't know it offhand.

Thanks Jeff! I gotta think that someone with a 2015 has added both the underwater and cupholders and determined if the wiring is there, but I've done a fairly comprehensive internet search without success. Would love to hear from someone that has.

I know for sure that the underwater light wiring is there. I have installed Roswell underwater lights on my last two boats without ordering the underwater lights from the factory, and the wiring was there.

I am pretty sure that all Nautiques that had underwater lights as a factory option came with the wiring in place whether the option was chosen or not. So if it was a factory option on your boat then the wiring should be there. I would suspect the same for the cup holders. Should be pretty easy to look under a cup holder or pop one out if necessary and see if there is wiring in place or not.

My thought exactly the cup holders pop right out, even the LED ones. My boat came with the cup holders, albeit mine are red rather than the standard white ones and the wires are pretty short once you pull them out so if it is pre-wired the wire should be easy to find. If they are not you can easily tie into the courtesy lights which are also not hard to find.

For those have installed underwater lighting and used the existing wiring, where did you pick up the wiring from in the boat or is just sitting right there in the back of the boat? Thanks in advance!

2015 G23 the underwater light wires were in the large bundles at the rear of the boat in the engine bay. There large wire tied groups in a vertical orientation on the left and right side of the engine. They groups were all the way back basically against the transom.

In those bundles there were two wires with butt connectors on them. Just double check with a multi meter that they work with the underwater switch in the LINC.

Jesutton3, any more tips on the wiring? I just installed UW lights in my 2017 230 and I M doing the connections. I’ve been told the pair with the blue wire is for UW lights. Any cheats for the dealer settings? Thanks.
