Anyone use this amp for a pair of Rev10s? All searches on this forum recommend WS Syn4, Arc Audio 600.2, JL Audio 750/1, or even Polk PA D4000.4. Any information on the Exile?

The discontinued 800.4 is class-A/B, so its going to be quite inefficient for its output as compared to all those others. It also falls WAAAYYYYY short of its advertised 400W x 2 rms. IIRC, about 40% less, so in 2 chnl mode, you will get only about 250W rms to each speaker. From a sound quality standpoint, its going to be on par with a basic 4 chnl amp like the PolkD4000.4. Bridged incorrectly, you get low output and crap SQ. Bridged correctly you get full power but stereo only. Those other top-shelf amps will allow for mono operation, which can be a nice advantage with a tower setup. They are more efficient while delivering more RMS.

No Way!
The Exile Xi800.4 is grossly over-rated. It actually delivers a maximum continuous 4 X 110 watts into a 2-ohm load (or 2 X 220 watts bridged into 4-ohms) with a 14.4 volt supply at 1 kHz. From there the power goes down as the bandwidth increases and the voltage supply decreases. So way short as compared to what a pair of Rev10s deserve.
A bridged Wetsounds Syn4, an Arc Audio KS600.2, or a JL Audio HD750/1 (my preference) are the way to go. Much more power. Much more efficient. Cleaner front ends and better crossover filters.
