Mounting Sub Box - Screw In?

I have a 2005 Air Nautique 226. I am going to mount a subwoofer box in the compartment below the passenger side windshield, in the compartment behind the passenger seat.

Am I safe to screw into the floor?

    What is underneath there?

Air or water, depending on where the boat is currently. Seriously though, the floor is not very deep as you get close the corner of the floor and wall.

I dont know how thick the floor is, but if you look at the taper of the hull from the outer chine to the keel, you can get an idea so to how thick it gets as the floor moves toward the center. I cant see a need for screws longer than 1" into the floor. As to whats under the floor in that area, likely nothing but the stringer system and flotation foam if any was used.
