I wanted to take a moment to mention a couple companies who I hope all of you get to deal with at some point in your boating careers. There are many great companies out there, but this is to acknowledge the two I have had contact with. I am a DIY'r and enjoy the challenge of doing new things, but cutting holes, messing with wiring, and removing perfectly good stereo equipment from a $100K G23 is really hard to make yourself do without some help or at least guidance. I wanted to let everyone know that these companies not only make and create some awesome things themselves but when people like me call and ask for some advice or help, they are more than willing to set you on the right path. Don't be scared.....cut those holes, rip out those weak sounding speakers and cut and splice your way to a kicka$$ system!!! Attached are some pictures of my upgrades and custom work....Jacob at Hydrotunes gave me some great advice for the sub vent with what materials to use and with a couple hours, a jigsaw and a router, I made the sub vent trim and got it installed. And the whole team at Wetsounds helped with random questions about installation of speakers and shipped me everything ridiculously fast....Attached are a couple of pictures of things in process and I am very happy with the results so far....Still have the stock in boats hooked up, but soon enough, they will be replaced....I added a syn4 amp for the in boats, JL amp for my 12w3, and a KS600.2 for the 4 Rev10's....of course Im stoked about the sub vent and the custom mount for the WS420....Its not even all the way installed but I had to share these pics.....anybody can do this stuff especially with the help of the pros. I for one am very thankful they are willing to share their expertise with us DIY'rs....it makes owning my boat so much better!! If you ever need help, they are there for you....and if you don't want to DIY....of course their stuff is top notch!!!
