To swivel or not to swivel

    Looking for some stereo help.

Ordered a 2016 g23 with basic stereo and basic tower pre-wire. I have a couple questions I would like some help with:

    1) Just doing one pair of rev 10's and would like to mount them like nyryan did (up in the tower corners). Does it make a difference if I go swivel clap or standard clam for mounting these? The standard clamp looks more to like a closer fit to the tower... I don’t know it the swivel clamp is needed to make them fit/align rearwards.

    2) Does any one know what amp comes with the basic pre-wire upgrade? Hoping its the M400 (bridge to 2x200).

    3) Hoping to add a remote level control to just control the tower level. Any one mounted one? would like to see where you did (hate drilling in a new boat)
    Here's a pic

North, if you want them up in the corners tucked in tight... you gotta have swivel clamps to get them angled right firing back. And you gotta flip/invert your racks or replace the OEM swivel clamps(not impressed) in order to be able to swing your racks in. if you do this you lose the ability to put a wakeboard boots up in the top slot. Wakeboards will then onl;y fit in the bottom slot, boots down.

Regular straight hanging Revs like the OEM speakers?..... standard clamps.

Thanks Ryan, that's what I need to know for the mounts. Swivel it is. Was it a 2 person job to get them in place how you have them?
As for the racks, I will just invert the racks to clear the speakers, to be honest we didn't even use the racks last year, we just use the back lockers for everything.

Just need to find out some more info on the pre-wire amp and I should be good to go.

No buddy, it was a one person job. Take your time and test fit the clamps before you drill the hole to bring the speaker wire through.
