As close to the original battery and the main switch as feasible. If you run a slalom course, then distributing the extra 80 lbs of lead might be a factor. -
My battery is in the back under the seat. I was wondering about putting it in the front. There is a door under the seat cushions in the front. Not sure what that door was for but sizing was about right.Comment

Have you installed the second battery? I also have a '94 Sport Nautique and would like to add a battery. I was considering under the helm, which would be near an amp if I add one. I've bought the Blue Sea 120A Add-A-Battery kit so I could mount it on the panel under the helm or on the side panel. Thoughts?Comment

Just looked a little closer, there's not enough room under the helm for a battery. So maybe under the forward passenger seat in the cargo area?Comment
